This is the first post of a new category called Living Water. These brief, more frequent posts tell about what we are doing and thinking about at The Well.

With both December 25th and New Year’s Day come and gone, Merry Christmas may seem out-of-place. In the Christian year, though, Christmas begins December 25th and continues until January 6, also known as Epiphany, when we celebrate the Magi or wise men arriving to see the baby Jesus in Bethlehem. Known as the appearance of Jesus to the Gentiles (wise men), the date is also celebrated as the Baptism of Jesus, both times considered manifestations of Jesus’ divinity. You might also know this period as the Twelve Days of Christmas and Epiphany as Three Kings Day or Twelfth Night. Merry Christmas!
